Wiring test

One button on the Developers screen checks the whole path, from a phone to your agent and back, in under 10 seconds.

The five steps#

  • Phone sends: a tagged test message is sent.
  • Wagent receives: it arrives through the provider webhook.
  • Rules checked: the owner's rules are applied to it.
  • Agent replies: the reply is made.
  • Reply delivered: WhatsApp confirms the reply.

Each step shows its own time. The test passes when all five finish within 10 seconds. One run per workspace per minute.

In Live#

The live test only writes to your own chat: the number messages itself, so no one else sees anything, and the rule check proves your own chat stays hidden from every agent. Both messages are deleted after a minute.

Testing your own agent#

By default Wagent's built-in test responder makes the reply, so a fresh workspace with no agent passes. Pick one of your webhook endpoints instead and Wagent sends it a signed test event; the step passes when it answers 2xx within 5 seconds.

In the sandbox the same five steps run with a test contact as the sender, entirely inside the sandbox.
